Terry Murphy - Executive Author
The executive author of the Competitive Strength Report (CSR) is
Terry Murphy, business consultant and founder of The Achievement Network, an
organisation established in 1995 to develop and deliver cost-effective business
improvement strategies and processes which business owners and executive
leaders can immediately apply to their businesses in order to increase their
profits. The Competitive Strength Report (CSR) is one of these processes. It
has been widely researched and refined to offer a practical, cost-effective
assessment tool for businesses to use.
Terry has over thirty years' experience in marketing and corporate
management in such diverse areas as fast moving consumer goods, industrial
consumables, capital goods and public, professional, and private sector service
provision. As well as having spent many years at main board level in
organisations, and having led a number of business turnarounds, his consultancy
work has taken him into a wide range of organisations in South Africa,
Australia, Pacific Basin, Japan, Europe and the USA. This experience has
enabled him to take the widest view of organisational and management
development needs - particularly in small to medium sized enterprises. Terry's
valuable insights into the importance of inspired leadership, business
sustainability, effective teamwork and people-centric approaches to managing
change lie at the heart of the change and development processes which he has
